Request :

The village municipality wishes to set up the construction of a new bus shelter used by the departmental transport network. The site, marked by old wine trails and a strong industrial past, is surrounded by a forest of oaks and beeches and therefore offers a landscape steeped in history. It is precisely the young people of the village who are at the initiative of the competition project.

Project:

The project is anchored in the history of the village. Indeed, the program not only meets the standard expectations of a bus shelter but it also offers a project that will become a landmark for hikers. This new construction brings added value to the landscape since the roof extends to the path and allows hikers to find room there to meet before the start of a hike without encroaching on the foundations of bus shelter. The project responds to demand with a playful structure inspired by the rubik's cube game and sets off a frame in space, the usually full faces of which are hollowed out here but replaced in order to fulfill the role of protection against bad weather, of seating, display and lighting. The role of the metal frame is therefore to anchor the structure over time, and to ensure the stability of the construction.
